Each mL of Genta Tylo Injection contains:
- Gentamicin Sulfate – an aminoglycoside antibiotic with potent antibacterial effects.
- Tylosin Tartrate – a macrolide antibiotic targeting a broad spectrum of bacterial pathogens.

Genta Tylo Injection combines the dual action of gentamicin and tylosin, each bringing specific benefits in treating infections:
- Gentamicin offers strong bactericidal activity by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, effective against Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli, Klebsiella, and Salmonella spp.
- Tylosin enhances the formulation’s effectiveness by targeting Gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., and Mycoplasma spp.
This combination is particularly effective in treating complex infections and mixed bacterial conditions, offering a broad antimicrobial range.
Indications:
Genta Tylo Injection is recommended for the treatment of:
- Respiratory Infections: Commonly used to treat bacterial pneumonia and bronchopneumonia in cattle, pigs, and small ruminants.
- Gastrointestinal Infections: Effective against enteric infections, colibacillosis, and other bacterial infections affecting the digestive system.
- Urogenital Infections: Suitable for treating pyelonephritis, metritis, and urinary tract infections.
- Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Useful in managing skin infections, wounds, and abscesses with bacterial involvement.
Target Species:
- Cattle
- Sheep
- Goats
- Pigs
Dosage & Administration:
Administer intramuscularly as follows:
- Cattle, Sheep, Goats, and Pigs: 1 mL per 10 kg body weight daily. The treatment typically lasts for 3-5 days, depending on the infection severity.
- Alternate injection sites for repeat doses to minimize tissue irritation.
Contraindications:
- Avoid use in animals with known hypersensitivity to gentamicin or tylosin.
- Not suitable for animals with renal impairment or during lactation if milk is intended for human consumption.
Withdrawal Periods:
- Meat: 28 days post-last injection.
- Milk: Do not use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.
Storage:
- Store in a cool, dry place, below 25°C.
- Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
